Ethical Considerations

The Microbiology, Metabolites and Biotechnology (MMB) journal is a double-blind, peer-reviewed, open-access publication that publishes original research articles. The journal adheres to the guidelines set by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and consistently aligns with the highest ethical standards. MMB is published under the Creative Commons Attribution License 4.0 International (CC-By 4.0), which allows users to copy, distribute, and create derivative works from the published articles, provided that the original source is properly cited.

Manuscript Submission Terms and Conditions

To facilitate the evaluation and publication process, researchers intending to publish their scientific articles in this journal must adhere to the following guidelines. Failure to comply will result in the manuscript not being reviewed, and it will only be returned to the author once for structural revisions.

Types of Articles

  • Review Articles: These articles should focus on a specific aspect of an emerging topic or an area currently receiving significant attention. Review articles should not serve as comprehensive surveys of all aspects of the topic but should highlight key findings and critically analyze reports from various sources, emphasizing comparisons and conflicts between the studies.
  • Research Articles: These articles should report original, scientifically sound research that contributes new knowledge to the field.

Contact Information for Manuscript Submission

All types of manuscripts must be submitted online via the journal's submission system to the Editorial Office. To submit your manuscript, please use the following link: http://armmt.irost.ir, and follow the step-by-step instructions provided on the website to upload your files.

Manuscript Submission Checklist

Before submitting your manuscript, please ensure that the following items are included:

  • All authors' contact information is provided, including institutional affiliations, email addresses, postal addresses, and ORCID IDs.
  • Necessary files, including the manuscript, tables, and figures, are correctly uploaded.
  • The manuscript has been spell-checked and grammar-checked.
  • All references cited in the reference list are mentioned in the text, and vice versa.
  • Permission has been obtained for using copyrighted materials from external sources.
  • A conflict-of-interest statement is provided, even if there are no conflicts of interest to declare.
  • The manuscript should be saved in the native format of the word processing software used, and the layout should be simple and free of complexity.

Author Commitment

Submitting a manuscript to the journal implies that the article has not been previously published and is not under consideration for publication elsewhere. Additionally, the authors confirm that the manuscript has been approved by all authors, and in the case of acceptance, no version of the manuscript will be published elsewhere in the same form.

Funding Statement

Authors must disclose which financial sources supported the research and describe the role of these sources in the study design, data collection, analysis and interpretation, and manuscript writing. If no financial sources were involved, this should be clearly stated.

Language Editing

Upon acceptance, the final manuscript will be edited by a native English-speaking editor. The manuscript should be saved in the native format of the word processing software used, and the layout should be simple and free of complexity.

Peer Review Process

All manuscripts will be evaluated through a peer review system, involving two or three reviewers to ensure the quality of the articles. The Editor-in-Chief reserves the right to reject manuscripts that are outside the scope of the journal, lack technical merit, or are poorly written.

Suggested Reviewers

Authors are required to suggest the names and email addresses of three experienced reviewers from different institutions. The editors may, at their discretion, select these suggested reviewers for the evaluation process.

Journal Forms

Authors must complete and submit the commitment forms, conflict of interest declarations, and author information. These forms are mandatory for administrative procedures and to ensure transparency.
